It had been forever since I last posted on my blog, back just before our trip to Vermilion as a matter of fact. Truth is I hardly fished this last season. It wasn't really for lack of desire as much as it was just lack of time. With kids activities and work, I barely found time to get out on the water.
I do have some videos to post, some new pics and maybe a few stories here and there. Actually as I was going through my started but never finished blog posts, I came across my 2011 Goals as I had written them on 2/19/11;
2011 Goals
1. Catch a 6 pound largemouth in Minnesota
2. Finish in the money at one tournament
3. Learn how effectively pick apart docks
4. Keep a fishing log
I didn't accomplish a single one. Very disappointing. Perhaps I should have included a goal to just make goals, then I'd have met at least one of them. Oh well, now we are headed into winter here in Minnesota and it will be several months before I'm back in the boat. In the meantime I'll be headed to open water on the Mississippi to fish for smallies. I was out a few weeks ago with my Brother-in-law and Team Patience fishing partner and we hammered them. More to come on that trip later.

How about a six pound smallmouth? After all 2011 isn't over yet. You caught one over twenty last time out, and it would only take a fat 21".
